Display Name: Protected and Conserved Area Network
Description: The Protected and Conserved Areas Network (PCAN) is intended to conserve representative and unique landscapes in each of Saskatchewan's 11 ecoregions. The network consists of a series of lands and waters that are protected or have activity restrictions placed on them by legislation, agreement or policy. These lands include national and provincial parks and recreation sites, ecological reserves, wildlife lands, game preserves, pastures, migratory bird sanctuaries, conservation easements, Water Security Agency lands, IPCAs, OECMs and other privately held stewardship lands. As of the data of publication, this dataset is the best available spatial representation available to show the boundaries of lands included in the PCAN.
