Description

This data set contains Separate school division boundary polygons for the Province of Saskatchewan. The information is compiled from surveyed legal land descriptions that are maintained in Ministry of Education minister’s orders. The result is a legal description of the Separate school division system.

Lineage statement
- Lineage is excellent quality.  Data is collected by the Saskatchewan Ministry of Education.
- Minister's orders provide an official land description for school division boundary lines. The boundary alteration is effective the date upon which the Minister signs the order, or a date prescribed in the minister's order. The order is then converted into a digital spatial format.
- The Separate school division boundaries are registered to the surveyed land cadastre maintained by the Saskatchewan Information Services Corporation. The cadastre is referenced to the horizontal North American Datum of 1983 (CSRS98), UTM Zone 13N.
